Photography in its simplest terms
In different formats and with very different purposes photography occupies great part of my time. What I consider my work as author, that great and dissimilar set in which photography is mixed with work, family photos, anecdotal records and many etceteras, has always been a reflection on photography in itself. This set of thoughts is a brief and very simple reflections that help me think about the rest of my interactions with photography.
Matilde Campodonico was born in Uruguay in 1969. She currently lives and produces in the city of Montevideo. She spent her childhood in Mexico City between 1978 and 1984. She has worked in journalism and photojournalism over the last 15 years. She has published her work in The Washington Post, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, El Pais, The Guardian, etc. Her photos are part of a variety of publishing projects. She has contributed to the graphic art of dozens of albums.
