Gisela Volá (Buenos Aires,1978)
Photographer, teacher and founder of the group Sub, photographers cooperative, created in 2004. Her work explores the creation of a collective identity by creating long-term projects addressing social, political and environmental issues.
Through Sub her essays are published in numerous national and international Media, such as: Le Monde, Le Figaro, Petra, Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, Gatopardo, Etiqueta Negra, Rolling Stone, Viva, Crisis, THC, Anfibia, Infojus etc. She has participated in more than 30 exhibitions through the world. She has been recognized with awards such as Picture of the Year Latin America, 1st Prize Biennale Cuenca, among others.
Currently she is working on the edition of her book "Wishes" of South American women, and curating along with Sub the exhibition "Family" which will be held in in Buenos Aires in2016.
